In silence, one seeks solace
The refuge to probe one’s self
One’s worth and place;
The wounded self, the self needing more.
To heal, reflect
So that one can step out again.
From that shell of silence.
How powerful, how useful,
Speaking the unspoken
Healing the wounded
Even containing the storm within.
One could be grateful
For the solace one finds.
But the fear is,
Will it be understood or read?
